Please accept this letter as an indication of our agreement to participate as a subcontractor on (Purdue’s) proposal to (NASA). Notre Dame’s technical contribution is under the direction of Dr. (Robert Smith of our Department of Physics) and has been administratively approved by the appropriate University officials. Support is requested for a (twelve) month period and is in the total amount of $(100,000) (including F&A costs).

Notre Dame’s Facilities and Administrative Rate of 50% of MTDC was negotiated with DHHS on November 6, 2003.

No human subjects or laboratory animals will be used in the conduct of Dr. (PI last name’s) research.

If this proposal is successful, the University of Notre Dame will ensure compliance with all pertinent sponsor regulations and policies. The subrecipient agreement should be addressed to Mrs. Karen M. Pace at the office address on the attached contact list for review and execution.
