The Office of the Vice President for Research is pleased to announce the FY12 centrally administered competitive research programs. Again this year we will have the Faculty Research Support Program, which consists of two separate competitions, the Equipment Restoration & Renewal Program and the Library Acquisition Program.  Guidelines for each program are attached.  Deadline for application varies by program.

Faculty Research Support Program

The Office of the Vice President for Research is pleased to announce the second year of the Faculty Research Support Program (FRSP), for FY2012. The FRSP consists of two separate competitions, the FRSP Initiation Grant, and the FRSP Regular Grant.

FRSP Initiation Grant - This program is designed to provide multiple grants of up to $10,000 for one year to fund the initiation of new programs of research, scholarship and creative endeavor.

FRSP Regular Grant - This program is designed to provide multiple grants of up to $100,000 of total funding over three years to conduct programs of research, scholarship and creative endeavor that will make major contributions in any field of study and will contribute to the overall research preeminence of the university.

This program is designed to provide University funds to restore or replace equipment required for research, scholarship or creative endeavor. Grants will typically be in the range of $25,000 to $200,000. (More information – pdf)
