The IRB meets once a month (usually the third Tuesday) and requires at least 10 business days before the meeting to review submitted protocols.

Because of the small number of protocols submitted during the summer months, the IRB does not usually convene during this time, though the triage of exempt and expedited review process continues. Researchers should consider the start dates of their research and how this fits with the IRB summer schedule.
